My latest assignments found me at PS/IS 208Q in Belleville, Queens. This school is like the ‘90210’ of New York City schools. It’s located inside of a huge gated community, that looks more like a college campus than an NYC public school. This was my second time at the school and the staff, as always was so friendly. This time, I was back shooting a 2-day Spring portrait assignment for the school. The difference between the Spring Shoots and the Regular Shoot (usually in the fall) are the way the kids are posed. The company I contract with uses a special type of pose in which the kids are standing rather than sitting. I’m not a big fan of the selected poses, but the parents and kids seem to like it and it’s a popular sell item, so ehh what do I know, huh? All in all, working with the kids was great and I look forward to coming back next year for more shots. There was even a parent there who I swear was related to Regan Gomez Preston in some way or form, even though she said she wasn’t – one of the perks of working with others.
